Cruise Ship Safety
The CDC (Centers for Disease Control) protects cruise ship passenger and crew health by minimizing the risk of gastrointestinal illness aboard cruise ships. The CDC accomplishes this mission through sanitation inspections, disease surveillance and investigations, onsite inspections of new ship construction and renovation and reviewing construction plans for new ships. The following pages set forth in detail the most recent Outbreak Reports. Cruise ships are required to log and report the number of passengers and crew members that have reported having symptoms of gastrointestinal illness.
